And now, last but certainly not least, the boy behind our wonderful toys, Chris! Chris is a precocious eight-year-old who, outside of his one best friend, has a lot of trouble being social. This is a loss to his peers, since Chris is fun, imaginative, and always open to learning about new identities and experiences. He’s soft, silly, and super-duper sweet. Honestly, he’s a lot like a certain toy we all know…

Fun fact: Chris’s design in the comic canon is somewhat different than his design in the book canon. In the book canon, his parents (and especially his mother) are a lot more stern about enforcing traditional gender stereotypes on their kids. Chris’s clothes reflect this by being a bit more drab and uninspired. Chris is too sad and afraid to even choose bright colors. Here, though, Chris feels free to at least put on a bright, comfy sweater and a neckerchief.
