Everyone, meet Softboy Pillowman! He will be our lovely little protagonist from here on out. While being a relatively recent addition to Chris’s room, he’s quickly grown to become Chris’s favorite toy.

A fun fact that relates to his origin story: this blog follows what I call the “comic canon.” This is to distinguish it from my thesis’s “book canon.” Softboy’s Origin technically applies to both the comic and book canons, but the book’s version is a little more… dramatic. In fact, the difference means that in order to make comics that include Leo Lion while adhering to the books’ canon, Softboy would have to look a little different. (How different, you ask? A story for another time…)
