It looks like another member of Chrisville learned how to harness the power of his imagination.

… Hooray?

The dress rehearsal of “The Wild Wooders” continues, and it’s starting out well so far. Don’t let Softboy’s acting fool you: he really does love this number. And it’s hard to be scared when you’re confident that the people threatening you are just acting… right?

You can find part one of the dress rehearsal here.

Just a reminder to everyone: Moth’s mouth isn’t moving because it doesn’t have to. Moth communicates through vis moth-shaped pendant, which is why vis dialogue comes out all fuzzy and cool.

The musical
The Wind in the Willows is indeed a real show, and the Chrisville
Theater Society’s costumes are based on those of the 2017 London
Palladium production. You can rent the musical here.
(I am not sponsored by the musical in any way, I just thought promoting
it was the least I could do after referencing so much of this
production.)

This took me forever to finish and I’ve been working on it nonstop for a few weeks now. I wanted this done for his birthday, but looks like I made it in time for Christmas. I drew all of @thescarletpaperback ‘s OCs…or at least the ones with a visual reference.

I just want him to know how wonderful his stories and characters are and how much they make my heart happy. You inspire me daily and I hope you never quit creating beautiful, wonderful worlds.

So many Softboy characters! Thanks again for this absolutely beautiful artwork. I’m always so grateful to have your love and support.

What would happen if Softboy & friends played Among Us? Would Softboy be willing to commit Murder?

image

Oh, I have been HOPING for a question like this.

The short answer is, yes, Softboy would be very willing to commit murder in Among Us. This might seem like a surprise, but honestly, the death in Among Us is too cute, fun, and low-stakes for Softboy to be upset by it. When even dead players can still play the game and help their team, it’s not as scary as it sounds. Also, Softboy is 100% aware that not only will his friends not be angry at him, but also after the game is done, his friends will come back to life and have a chance to kill him back.

However, his cute and squishy personality means that people tend to not think he’s the imposter. Which means for the first few games, his fellow crewmates will surround him in order to protect him, which simply stops him from being able to commit murder.

He won’t, however, kill Leo. Softboy’s love for Leo is so strong that he can’t even bring himself to harm a little digital bean version of his wonderful boyfriend.

Leo, on the other paw, has no qualms about killing Softboy.

This does not stop Softboy from following Leo in almost every game.

I hope this answers your question, kind friend!

October is here, and Softboy has already prepared his Halloween costume. However, he may have started an interesting discussion on whether or not toys need dress codes.

Fun fact: This comic contains a sneaky little reference to a Softboy comic I drew in my notebook a while back and shared with a select group of friends. I couldn’t redraw the comic for the blog, though, since its humor was obviously 13+. I thought I might as well smuggle the fun bit into another story.

Looks like Softboy and Leo may not be Chrisville’s only power couple…

Fun fact: The ideas written on the chalkboard- Monarch, Peacock, and Very Hungry Final Form- are all types of butterfly! (At least, this is what a quick Google search told me in regards to the first two) However, this doesn’t mean the Butterfly Bear will stick with the butterfly theme. There’s a lot of time between now and Halloween, after all.

It’s time for part three of our first multi-comic story, in which I realize that it’s hard to keep coming up with exciting angles for a conversation between two people. You can find Part 1 herePart 2 here, Part 4 here, and Part 5 here.

Fun facts: Here is the first appearance of another background character: Wagon Wheels the Yeti. She is a very sweet cryptid plushie and another blatant Classic Doctor Who reference. She has been cast as a member of the female chorus for this production of HMS Pinafore.

The Chrisville Theater Society’s production bears many visual resemblances to a version of HMS Pinafore that I was in a year ago. (In fact, Softboy is playing my role as a member of the chorus.) The costumes in the comic are only half-finished, but most are clearly inspired by what we wore then. However, Madame Croc’s Little Buttercup costume and Wagon Wheel’s sister/cousin/aunt costume are of my own design.
